Photographing flowers has suprises. You see a beautiful, delicate creation in front of your lens. You can't wait to see it large on your screen, or printed and on your wall. When you get the image, you see many things you didn't know where there!
A small insect on a flower petal, or a lizard mid-molt, still wearing his trench coat of older skin.
Those surprises are the bonus, nature's gifts to us.
The water lilies were photographed at a botanical garden on a visit with friends in Florida in January, 2017. I can't wait to go back and see what other surprises show up!
Other images were taken where ever my travels take me.
